Louisiana Charitable Dental Clinics

Anyone in the state that is elderly or handicapped can call Donated Dental Services and apply to participate: (800) 946-6016. There is also a DDS program specifically for Acadiana called 232-HELP/211. For more information, click the link above or call (337) 232-4357.

Federally Qualified Health Centers, or FQHCs, can also be found in different parts of the state. A list of FQHCs and additional information can be found on the LA Primary Care Association website, as well as on the LA Department of Health and Hospitals website (click on the List of Louisiana FQHCs and Satellites for a listing of FQHCs).

Another option is the LSUHSC School of Dentistry, however, there is a cost associated with the dental care.  However, the fees are offered at a reduced rate compared to private practices.  Visit the LSUHSC School of Dentistry website or click here for contact and patient information.

Minnesota Listing Of Medical And Dental Clinics For Low Income

This is a list of dental clinics throughout Minnesota that provide dental services to patients who are on public care programs, or that offer services at a reduced cost. Find a clinic in your area, and then call to make an appointment. Please note that services, hours and costs at these clinics vary, so you may find it helpful to click on the clinic website for more information.

Please note that this is not a comprehensive list of all dental clinics that provide such services. In addition, many private practice dentists who are not listed here provide care to those who are enrolled in Minnesota Health Care Programs (Medical Assistance, Minnesota Care, and General Assistance Medical Care).

Be sure to also check the bottom of this list for special resources where limited amounts of free dental care are offered under certain circumstances.

Dental Clinics

I have completely revamped my site. The site is now user community supported with a database back-end!:) This took a long time to create and wouldn't be what it is without the help of a few technical friends. If you know of a clinic not listed, feel free to add it. Let me your thoughts and feedback. Thanks and God Bless!

My story ...

I am a 39 year old mother of three from Texas. I have been in and out of the dentist since I got my first little tooth buds! Both my mother and father lost their teeth at a very early age and I was right behind them. I was never into drugs and I probably took better care of my teeth than anybody I know. It was simply a matter of genetics. Now, I am by no means living in poverty, but as an "average" American, I was literally powerless to do anything about my situation.

I'm not a vain person, but I believe that confidence says a lot about a person and can determine the course of your life. I had to DO something...ANYTHING!  I didn't have time for gimmicks. I was so desperate, I even went so far as to make my own plastic coverings to cover up my teeth! I don't recommend that. It made my teeth rot faster and it smelled horrendous! To make matters worse I was in a LOT of pain. I started researching pain relief and discovered thousands of people in forums that were going through the same thing with no help in sight.

I created the site as a self-help place to go for pain relief. I began getting literally hundreds and hundreds of emails for help and it absolutely broke my heart. I knew what I needed to do. I spent three long years researching dentists that would provide pro bono work or at the very least extremely low prices and sliding scale fees to those that truly need help.

I'm glad I didn't give up. I actually discovered things that are NOT common knowledge. There is still so much that needs to be done, but there is help. I'm not trying to extort money from anyone or make outrageous claims. Although low cost and free dentistry is available to seniors and children more readily, it is much harder for the rest of us. We all read a lot of JUNK on the Internet and I can honestly say I have contributed something worthwhile. I can't say that I have all the answers, but I do have a great deal to share! It will always be a work in progress!

The directory and website are not "gimmicks" or "traps" to get you to buy something else. There are no "come ons" or anything you need to pay for after reading it. I created it to be readily available to everyone. If you can't afford to buy the directory, I will GIVE it to you. If you can afford it, please do so and contribute to the upkeep! God Bless!
